How to Create Your First Invoice

Creating your first invoice is the starting point for getting paid in Sumung. This walks through the basic flow from a blank invoice to a finalized one.

Steps

  1. Go to Get Paid → Invoices.
  2. Click "+ New Invoice."
  3. Select or create a customer.
  4. Add at least one line item - select a saved Item from the dropdown, or type a custom description and price.
  5. Review or adjust the due date, notes, and terms.
  6. Check the "Auto Reminders" toggle (on by default) and adjust its timing if needed.
  7. Click "Save as Draft," "Approve," or "Save & Send" depending on whether you're ready to finalize and send it.

Good to Know

If a line item has no Item selected, Sumung may show an "Item is required" message when you try to finalize - select or quickly create an Item for that line if this happens.
