How Automated Invoicing Works

Sumung can automate parts of your invoicing process so invoices are finalized and reminders sent without manual effort each time.

Steps

  1. When creating an invoice, use the finalize options to decide its outcome: "Save as Draft" (no automation), "Approve" (finalizes without emailing), or "Save & Send" (finalizes and emails immediately).
  2. Turn on the "Auto Reminders" toggle (on by default) to have Sumung automatically remind the customer as the due date approaches or passes.
  3. Select a reminder timing from the dropdown, such as 7 days before, 3 days before, on the due date, or several days after.
  4. For invoices that repeat on a schedule, set up a Repeating Invoice (see "How to Set Up Recurring Invoices").
