How to Upload Large Bank Statements in Sumung

Larger files - covering long date ranges or many transactions - work the same way, but a few precautions help avoid issues.

Steps

  1. Prefer CSV or Excel over PDF for large files, since these are explicitly recommended for best results.
  2. Confirm the Date, Description, and Amount (or Credit/Debit) columns are present and consistent throughout the file.
  3. If the upload is slow or fails, split the file into smaller date ranges and import each separately.
  4. After import, check the Statements tab to confirm the full range came through before importing the next chunk.
